Flight Simulation Lab

The state-of-the-art flight advanaced simulation lab at North-Aire provides full access to three REDBIRD™ simulators, including:

• REDBIRD FMX (Full motion simulator)
  North-Aire’s “FMX”, is configured as a Cessna 172 with Garmin G1000 and is our primary training device.
• REDBIRD LD
  Our “LD” model is configured as a Cessna 172, with a legacy flight panels.
• REDBIRD TD
  Our “TD” model is configured for the Garmin G1000 glass panel and primarily is used for our students wanting to practice procedures on a G1000 panel, as well as instrument students wanting to practice holding maneuvers and instrument approaches. The TD is available to any student, at NO COST!

The REDBIRD™ brand is well known in aviation circles as a “best in class” flight simulator, with the REDBIRD MCX, FMX, SD, LD, VTO, and the MX2. The REDBIRD cockpit specific devices are FAA approved Advanced Aviation Training Devices (AATD).

Coming Soon to the North-Aire Aviation Flight Simulation Lab

Coming soon, is a second full-motion REDBIRD FMX configured as a Cessna Caravan. This device will be utilized for our Professional Pilot Track students heading off to Mokulele Airlines! Graduates of North-Aire Aviation selected to join Mokulele Airlines, will be training on this device preparing them for their first flight over the islands of Hawaii.

The North-Aire’s Advanced Flight Simulation Lab is a great addition to both the North-Aire facilities, as well as our airport community. We welcome all pilots and prospective aviators to come take a tour and fly with North-Aire Aviation.
